It’s easier than you think to create a new habit.

I know you’re skeptical. Trust me—I’ve been there too.

If you’re like, “WHAT? No way, I’ve been trying to build healthier habits for months and just. can’t. seem. to. stick. to. it,” I get it.

But here’s the trick: You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. You just need to start with ONE small change—a change so easy, you can’t help but succeed.

Here’s why this works:

When you set the bar low, you remove all the pressure. Succeeding at even the smallest step builds momentum. That momentum? It creates confidence, and confidence fuels the next step.

It’s like a snowball rolling downhill. One small win leads to another, and before you know it, you’ve created a new habit that’s impossible to break.

Don’t believe me? Try this:

For just 5 minutes a day this week, commit to exercising. Want to improve your diet instead? Decide to eat 1 fruit/vegetable today or have just 1 glass of water.

It’s so small, it might feel silly. But once you master that tiny change, you’ll be ready to add more.

Let's start the week on a calm, relaxed note.

So let’s NOT…doom scroll. Drink exclusively caffeine. Wear our shoulders like earrings.

And instead…

~ BREATHE ~

Unclench your jaw. Drop those shoulders. Take a deep breath in and a nice long exhale.

How do you feel?

I'm feeling the weight of the ending the year, preparing for the next (and let's not get starting on the holiday craziness 😜)

No matter where you’re at, it’s helpful to take a moment each day to give yourself a break. Then, take a few slow, intentional deep breaths. It helps calm your mind and body and can even help to reset your mood.

Think of one small decision or moment in your life that changed your entire trajectory…

Every one of us has these moments, decisions, or interactions.

That one little spark that originally seemed insignificant, but ended up changing everything.

Change, growth, happiness, success, accomplishments… These things don’t usually happen in one big bang.

Little steps get us there.

Someone’s words, a decision, a wrong turn, a purposeful small habit shift or any other number of little sparks are eventually what set things ablaze (good or bad).
